It takes a little experimenting with these bottoms to find the right size, and it seems to depend on color maybe? I read that they typically run small, so initially I ordered a large (I'm usually a medium) in sea salt, stone and black. The black was perfect as is, but the stone and sea salt were too big, especially at the bottom which was kind of weird, so I returned for a medium and now the stone is perfect but the sea salt is ever so slightly more snug than I'd prefer. I'll have to be careful with washing so they don't shrink any more! I also know linen will relax and stretch a bit as you wear it so that will help too.
The pants themselves overall are really comfy and flattering - I like how they sit, and they don't create any "muffin top" or anything. Material is soft. Quality is nice.
